Florence, Italy

Birthplace of the Renaissance - Florence was home to the Medici Family that had so much influence - now their legacy is manifest in all sorts of edifices, art and masterpiece. The David by Michelangelo housed in the Galleria dell'Accademia is impressive. Breathtaking. The Uffizi Gallery - the 'office' Florentine style - has so much art you could literally spend a week soaking it all in. The impressive Arno River that flooded Florence back in '66 is now tamed and provides the perfect element for a beautiful photo. And don't forget to include the Ponte Vecchio in the foreground (old bridge). It was the only bridge to survive World War II bombing in Florence.

Amazing Florence. We're off to the heart of Tuscany tomorrow. San Gimignano. Orvieto.
