Our first tour of the year begins on March 12! Jodie Hedrick will be starting off our tour season with our signature Italy's Great Cities tour. We always start that tour in Venice, and what's not to love about Venice?! It's such an other-worldly type of place. I always love it when you walk into San Marco square and experience that incredibly unique space. It's no wonder Venice has been the setting for so many movies over the years. I always love waking up in Venice too, hearing the sound of the boats making their early morning deliveries, stepping down some narrow alley to get an espresso, etc.
In some ways it seems a shame that a place like Venice depends so much on tourism, because people and commercialism tend to destroy that which was once pristine, but in the case of Venice I believe you have a marriage of tourists and locals that seems to work. They thrive on each other, and if that keeps the magic of Venice alive for another generation to experience, then I suppose it will be worth on the whole. However, we not only want our guests to see and enjoy Venice, but also to appreciate it and respect it, both while in residence and away from her, for the most inspiring place that it is and, we hope, will always remain.

It sounds like you had a amazing time in Italy. We (me and my wife) are also planning our honeymoon in Italy. We both are quite s excited about it. Do you have any advice or suggestions on it??
