A Successful Weekend of Training

As I mentioned last time, we had our Tour Captains and Tour Captain candidates coming in from around the country: Georgia, New Jersey, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Colorado. With them here, we had three days of Tour Captain training, discussion about problems encountered in the field, and a company Christmas party with an awards and recognition program. Although two of our three candidates up for new jobs were sent home early, we did select Audrey DeMonte and Janet Kucks, both International Guide Academy graduates, to be Tour Captains in 2013, so congratulations to them!

Now we start to turn our attention to a new year looming around the corner! We have many exciting things planned for this coming year, including new tour destinations, shore excursions, and the launching of our European river cruises. At the heart of all of this is the customer, the one for whom we are working every day! We want every small group tour, no matter what it is, to bring a sense of joy and excitement to each and every customer. No one should go home unhappy at the end of a QueensLander small group tour experience, and I and my entire team is here to make sure that that is the case!

Happy Travels!
