The Day After

The day after July 4th...

The roads were relatively quiet today, some still enjoying a longer holiday weekend. For us, things are basically back to work today. Yesterday was an unusual fourth of July for me. It was a busy day with some good activities: catching up with old friends, lunch a local beer garden on the old Lowry air base, time at the pool, a leisurely coffee visit, a training session at 24 Hour Fitness, a quiet dinner and a movie to round out the day.

In addition to the business of yesterday, it was also unusual in that there was no bar-b-que or cookout to attend. Due to the recent fires in this region of the country, there was also no fireworks display either, which made for a somewhat anti-climatic end to the day. Nonetheless, it was a good day, and we are blessed to live in such a country. We should be grateful.

I am grateful that I can build a business like QueensLander that specializes in small group tours to Italy and beyond. Where can we take this venture? The options are limitless. The freedom is there. Choice, determination, vision, planning, execution: all there because of America's great blessing to us on this Independence Day week!
