If you’re at the table and your friends are letting you pick the wine from a huge wine list, how do you decide? Rebecca Christophersen of the Tuscan Wine School can teach you what to do, how to read the wine label, and what the best food and wine combinations are.
Perhaps the only things you see more of than wine in an Italian kitchen are olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Tuscany is known for its olive oil, as well as the Modena region for its balsamic. These elements both play a huge part in the Mediterranean diet: a little cheese, bread, olive oil, and balsamic, with the perfect glass of wine and seasoned with good friends and family. As you may know, this is believed to be a good recipe for heart health, along with exercise.
Italian food and wine are one of life's greatest pleasures. It should be fun and healthy! So, grab a cavatappi, a few bottles, and jump right in, with moderation and good sense, of course.
Salute’!
