Everyone should experience Acquapazza in Venice at least once!
The restaurant is located in Campo Sant’Angelo, one of the larger yet relatively subdued squares in Venice. Depending on your hotel location, of course, it makes for a nice little stroll to and from dinner. Before summer anyway, I’d recommend taking a light jacket, just in case you get a little cool. The outdoor seating area is ample and covered by a large tent. It’s almost like an outdoor seated picnic or sophisticated backyard experience.
The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. They are sure to make this a special experience for you. For example, when you order the fish, they won’t just place your order, they will bring out a large sample for you to see what they are going to be cooking for you! It’s quite funny in a way, but endearing.
More about Acquapazza tomorrow...
