The Borghese Gallery is the most incredibly awesome museum of its kind I have visited anywhere. While there are many museums which are larger, the Borghese Villa is beautiful in and of itself. The price of admission would be worth it if there were no priceless works of art inside. The villa house is breathtakingly beautiful. Every room has a ceiling that appeared to be 35 feet high. Each ceiling appeared to be hand-painted, and reminded us all of the Sistine Chapel (every bit as beautiful and spectacular). The WOW factor is there when we did the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel tour, but the WOW factor is also EQUALLY there at the Borghese Gallery.
