Last Night's Italy Travel Seminar

We had a very good turnout last night for our free Italy travel seminar! Maria Chiacchio of the Italian Institute, Tour Captain Sandy Gregory, and I conducted the seminar. Our communications manager has been putting these on video, and at some point we hope to have segments of them up on YouTube or on our QueensLanderTours.com website.

One of the valuable topics we cover are cultural differences, which encompass so many areas. One of those areas is simply in trying to order a cup of coffee. For example, we've had customers go over to Italy and order a Latte after dinner. Whereas that would get them a coffee with steamed milk at Starbucks, in Italy a latte is simply a glass of hot milk, no coffee whatsoever! To get the coffee included you have to ask for a "cafe latte", as "latte" in Italian simply means "milk". That's just one of the small details that we cover! And while it may not seem so important, it can make a huge difference in your enjoyment of your trip.

We'll be having these seminars twice monthly, so we look forward to you joining us sometime to learn about the Italian culture and how to plan for your small group Italy tour!
