If I haven't mentioned it before, QueensLander has joined forces with the Italian Institute of Denver to help promote Italian language, culture, and tourism to Italy.
We were formerly located in the Denver suburb of Highlands Ranch, but recently relocated our offices to the busy central business district of Denver, sharing offices with the Italian Institute.
The Italian Institute was formed by Maria Chiacchio in 2009 “with the mission of promoting intellectual, artistic, and social exchanges” between the Italian-speaking world and the local community. Alternately, we began in 1993 to provide travel primarily to Australia, but in recent years Italy has become our primary focus.
It wasn’t until 2011 that QueensLander and the Italian Institute became acquainted while both attending and working at the annual “Festival Italiano” in the Belmar community of Denver. Chiacchio had always wanted to expand her business to include a travel department to offer her customers a professional service for travel to Italy, so an affiliation held unique possibilities for both of us. I'll share more aboout this in my next post.
